To ALL my black men. Just in case you didn't know, I SEE you, I FEEL you, and I LOVE you!
As a woman, I am the outward manifestation of what we classify as the feminine. My male counterpart is the masculine. While in this 3D realm some of us think of the masculine and feminine as two separate entities, when in fact, we are indeed in more than one way connected. I have come to understand that men and women house within themselves both feminine and masculine energy simultaneously. Meaning, every time one of our men, our brothers, fathers, sons, nephews, uncles, cousins, husbands, lovers, or friends senselessly die a piece of every woman dies with them. These thoughts helped me understand better what my body is feeling, but my mind could not comprehend around all these tragedies. After thinking about it for a while, I was finally able to put into words what my soul is experiencing.
The sheets are crisp on my body as I slide underneath the covers. My eyes heavy I decide not to fight it and drift into the darkness. As sleep pulls me deeper away from this realm, a glimmer of hope stirs my heart.
Deep into the night, the memory of his touch pushes through my subconscious. Without hesitation, my body moves in sync to the sensual rhythms we created so long ago. The excitement forces me to call out his name. His presence causes me to open my eyes. Awake or dreaming I ask myself?
If you ask him, he does not believe in this kind of stuff. A water bearer is not how he sees himself. I wonder, why does he not accept how powerful he is? He blew into my life and gave me a better understanding of the dynamic era for which he is named, "The Age of Aquarius." Or is he just wearing a cloak of false humility knowing without a shadow of a doubt who he is and why he came here?
