"To Blog or Not to Blog?"
Year after year, mostly in the fall, I desperately contemplated the question of the Blog. As if some commemorative anniversary, the magnitude of this contemplation was like that of the discovery of sliced bread, the realization that government cheese makes the best Grill Cheese Sandwich ever. Oh, and the discovery of the fire for which said Grilled Cheese is perfected. Oh, let's not forget Obama becoming President and the release of the Black Panther #WakandaForever.
"Don't Take Me Tonight!"
To ALL my black men, just in case you didn't know, I SEE you, I FEEL you, and I LOVE you!
As a woman, I am the outward manifestation of what we classify as the feminine energy. My male counterpart is known as the masculine energy. I have come to understand men and women house within themselves both feminine and masculine energy simultaneously. As a result, every time one of our men, our brothers, fathers, sons, nephews, uncles, cousins, husbands, lovers, or friends senselessly die a piece of every woman dies with them. I finally can put into words what my soul is experiencing, that my mind and body could not comprehend.
I originally posted this random revelation back in 2014 on my personal Facebook page. As I am building this website, its relevance has never been timelier. I am holding tighter these days to the perspective, that my experiences are about me and the lessons I am meant to learn. I am grateful I now understand that while on the surface others are entangled in whatever I am experiencing, on a deeper level the lessons I am meant to learn or whatever has me stuck momentarily has very little to with the other people or circumstances involved. #learningandgrowing #awonderfulthing
To be a safe and peaceful place for my inner child to dwell while not harming another.
